Mission

Giving to foster development of the capabilities of young people through improving the quality of teaching in secular elementary and secondary schools; program includes awards in recognition of outstanding teaching; special educational programs for teachers in the fields of the humanities, the arts, and the sciences; curriculum development projects; school evaluation studies; and educational television programs. Preference is given to programs that target underserved student populations and districts with fewer available resources
